The Alamo, Dublin’s oldest Mexican restaurant is situated in the heart of Temple Bar.We offer the very best of traditional cuisine, such as Tamales, Quesadillas, Sizzling fajitas, Chimi Changas and many more mouth watering and exciting spicy Mexican traditional dishes.

From our Mexican grill we have Pollo mexicano, Santa Fe T-bone steaks, Alamo Rib eye steaks and chilli burgers.

We also serve our homemade nachos and a selection of fresh Mexican salads. To share we have a Mexican combo (selection of chip & dips), Mexican Tapas plate and many more colourful dishes.

Particular attention is paid to the quality and origin of our ingredients at The Alamo. Our authentic Mexican dishes are carefully prepared by our team of experienced chefs maintaining the best standards of Mexican cuisine.

And last but not least our Mexican homemade deep fried Ice Cream is unique and the only original ice cream served in Dublin. It is our most popular dessert.

The Alamo first opened its doors fourteen years ago and is named after ‘The Alamo’ which is a national shrine in America situated in San Antonio, Texas close to the Mexican border.

When Davy Crockett was rejected by the voters in Kentucky in 1840, he said to them “You may all go to hell, and I will go to the Alamo” where he was probably served one of our very best margaritas!! And the rest is history.
